The St. Mary Parish School Board, in cooperation with other public agencies, is making an effort to find all children with disabilities from birth through 21 years of age who are not in school and, therefore, not receiving a free appropriate education.  Inquiries and referrals should be made to the Child Search Coordinator, Anna Bonin, or Joy Naquin, at (337) 828-1767.

Infant and preschool special education services are offered to the exceptional child from birth through five years of age. Eligible children are seen in the home, daycare, or school depending on the child's age and needs.

School based  IDEA preschool classes are available at Foster Elementary in Franklin, Bayou Vista Elementary in Bayou Vista, and Wyandotte Elementary in Morgan City.
