The St. Mary Parish School Board allocated funds for student supplies (classroom) and for science labs. PJHS utilized these funds to eliminate student fees for hallway lockers, initial IDs and lanyards/clips, science lab equipment & supplies.  Classroom supplies purchased for students include  but not limited to binders, colors, glue (bottle and stick), scissors, highlighters, markers (thin and broad), expo markers for use with individual student white boards, manila folders, pencil colors and additional pencils to supplement what parents have bought.

Spring Break Begins:

Friday, April 3, 2015 - Sunday, April 12, 2015

Public Service Announcement:

On March 28th, the St. Mary Parish School Board will place a renewal
tax proposition before voters for the purpose of renewing a 10-year, 12.17 mill property tax in District 2, which includes the communities of Berwick, Bayou Vista, and Patterson. Proceeds from the tax contribute $2.188 million to maintain, operate, and give additional support to public schools in those cities.

The proceeds from this tax have helped to maintain Patterson Junior High School through all of these years.

We respectfully urge voters of St. Mary Parish to cast their ballots on this important funding renewal on Saturday, March 28th. Early voting will be available from  March 14-21.

April 23, 2015 is Progress Report Time

Honor’s Elite – Students are eligible who maintain a 3.5 GPA with no C’s or behavioral referrals for the first three nine weeks and through progress reports for the fourth nine weeks. Students with excessive tardies or excessive uniform violations will not be eligible. This event is by invitation only.
Renaissance Program – Students must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and possess a clean discipline record. Honorees are announced at the conclusion of each nine week grading period. Students achieving this honor for three or more nine weeks are eligible to participate in a fun day at the end of the year. During the fourth nine weeks, grades will be counted up until progress report time for qualification purposes.  (Page 17 of Student Handbook)
